FINDING THE RIGHT SHADE OF FOUNDATION

FINDING THE RIGHT SHADE OF FOUNDATION

It can be hard to find a shade that matches your skin tone, but here are few ways to figure out a shade that matches your skin.

Things that you need to take in count:

1. Your Skin's Undertone

Skin's undertone can be cool, warm or neutral. To check the undertone of your skin, you can check your veins in your wrist. If it appears to be blue or purple, you have cool undertone, if your veins are green or olive, you have warm undertone and if it appears to be blue-green colour, it is of a neutral tone.

Cool Undertone = You can use foundation with pink undertone
Warm Undertone = You can use foundation with yellow undertone
Neutral Undertone = You can use both the undertones

2. Know your skin type well.

3. Testing Foundation

Testing foundation on your skin is very important as some foundation OXIDIZES after wearing. To know how much the shade changes, wear the tester on your face for at least 15 minutes. While letting the foundation oxidizes, you can continue swatching lipsticks on your hand. The right place for you to swatch test the foundations is at the from the cheek to the neck to make sure it fits your skin.
